DailyMails not getting through?

Anyone else NOT receiving Dailymails at the moment? Mine seem to have stopped coming through about 4 days ago.

The Dailymail log says that the emails have been sent OK. Have tried sending manually too from Tivoweb.

I've tried with both hotmail.com and gmail.com emails. Nothing is ending up in Junk/Spam, though when I did receive emails in the past, Outlook/Hotmail always put it into Junk folder, even though I always ticked the "not junk" option for all of them.

I'm hoping this is just a glitch on the server somewhere. I had the same problem back in 2023, but that seemed to fix itself after a while.

Has anything changed recently - e.g. new internet router?

Unfortunately, bucket-shop email services (such as hotmail, gmail) tend to just drop emails they don't like/think are spam.

Pegasus, No, nothing changed for months now. I remembered yesterday that I also have BTINTERNET.COM email address (never normally bother to use it!). Have tried these too both as set up in to Config file and also as Customised email. Log shows them as being sent, but nothing coming through.

You could try increasing the debug information in dailymail.cfg - e.g. "set debuglvl 3". Then trigger an email and see if the log shows any clues.

Looked through the log with debug level 3. Didn't spot anything obvious. Have "X"'d out IP and email addresses. I have, though, copied the email address text into blank emails and sent them, just to prove that I didn't have some weird typo or something

Thanks Steve. I've copied your log and then deleted it from your post for security (I'm paranoid nowadays!)

So I see you are using the altepg mailing service. I'm not sure how this works (I don't use it) but the server confirms you are reaching it and it is sending on your email.

However, it would seem it will only send to the email address on your altepg account. It seems to ignore the manual email addresses you entered and always send to altepg-stored address. (I guess to avoid being used as an open relay.)

So have you checked your s_m.....@hotmail.com account?

According to altepg sever the email is accepted 'OK' by hotmail so the problem must lie with them.

Yes, have been checking the hotmail email; not there or in Spam, so as you said earlier, looks like Hotmail/Outlook is just binning it immediately.

Do you use an alternative to the altepg mailing service, or do you just not use Dailymail at all?

Alternatively, is it possible to change my email address in my account to either my btinternet or sky one? Of course, unless someone else knows one of them works, might end up with the same problem!

I run my own servers so I use one of those for sending emails. You used to be able to use free email services for sending emails, but they now seem to have followed the Dodo and/or require high security (which Tivo can't do).

Other people do use the altepg sevice for Dailymail so it must work

I think I can change your altepg registered email address without collateral damage. Would you prefer your bt or sky (yahoo) one? If it doesn't fix the problem I can always change it back!

Success with the new email address! It's come through to that email (Spam at the moment, but I'm sure I can change that!).
