lost /var/hack - will new version automatically install one?

TiVo suddenly has decided that I don't need my hacks and has completely lost them - no endpad, no tivoweb, etc. Before I start the painstaking work to reinstall everything I thought I'd check if the new TiVo version that we will install would come with these things as standard. If so for a couple of weeks I can do without the extra functionality. If not I better get going again!
