My test TiVo seems to have a service status of "7: Never set up" ! It used to be the main one, but I transferred service (albeit a TAM) to the main box. Daily call completes almost immediately ...

Box posted to me by SolidTechie is so dead it won't boot up, even with a known good HDD in it. (came with the 15+30 combination.)

Box I bought the other day from shozoku on tvc has status "8: Account closed".

So I checked my soundless main box again, which I cancelled back in October - still said "3: Account in good standing" because I had unplugged it before I called. Since I got the cachecard working now, I thought I might as well try a daily call on this one too, and only went and downloaded all it's guide data! Status still shows as 3. .. I guess the cancellation didn't go through after all.. (must check my bank statements....)

I'm sat here writing this while waiting for the "loading data" to complete .. 58% done, 23 mins to go..

Lots of captured network traffic to thumb through...

Probably a bit late, but while you're doing a guided setup, if you can manage to capture a copy of the IR slice that could be useful.

Well I dare say I'll be doing a few more... will grab a copy if I spot it!
